Lauro Secco was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniele Cavallo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 16 minute of play. Egídio Ferraz's late challenge caught a Farafulla FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Egídio Ferraz helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Farafulla FC booed when Papunhas EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egídio Ferraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Farafulla FC's Ettore Catucci got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 27th minute, Ettore Catucci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 29 minutes Farafulla FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Chico Mangueira who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Papunhas EC's Chico Mangueira to fire away a dangerous shot which Dave Valeriani despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Fernandão Meirelles hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Farafulla FC's Ercole Rea couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Papunhas EC. Lauro Secco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ercole Rea, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. If David Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ercole Rea in the 39th minute of play forced Papunhas EC's goalkeeper Lauro Secco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Papunhas EC's Lauro Secco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Papunhas EC from getting a goal against them. In the 58th minute Domenico Evani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauro Secco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lauro Secco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniele Cavallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes into the game, Farafulla FC's Domenico Evani nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lauro Secco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Fernando Nogueira got free with Dave Valeriani in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lauro Secco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ercole Rea went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Luís Fernando Nogueira struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Dave Valeriani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Papunhas EC.
