The referee ignored Överås BK's protests and gave Karl-Ove Gudmundsson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th match minute, AC Mayonnaise was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walter Mårtensson to maneuver through the defense. 29 minutes into the match, AC Mayonnaise's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Engström came free, but Valdemar Jönsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Walter Örnberg kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Stig-Arne Ödman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stig Palmquist was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Stig-Arne Ödman sped through Överås BK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Stig Palmquist. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Stig-Arne Ödman put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Stig Palmquist. 39 minutes into the game, Oscar Holmberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Stig Palmquist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, AC Mayonnaise's Walter Mårtensson got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sven-Erik Sjöman to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Oscar Holmberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stig Palmquist. Överås BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oscar Holmberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. In the 60thth minute of the game Stig-Arne Ödman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Överås BK's Stig Palmquist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 61st match minute, AC Mayonnaise was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfons Sundberg to maneuver through the defense. Stig-Arne Ödmans short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Stig Palmquist to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Överås BK's Stig Palmquist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Överås BK from getting a goal against them. AC Mayonnaise's Stig-Arne Ödman was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 71st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Oscar Holmberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Överås BK's Stig Palmquist got control of the ball when Oscar Holmberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as AC Mayonnaise's Stig-Arne Ödman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Stig Palmquist. That made the score 0-7 after 81 minutes of play. The AC Mayonnaise fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when AC Mayonnaise's Stig-Arne Ödman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-8 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Stig Palmquist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig-Arne Ödman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of AC Mayonnaise booed when Överås BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melker Låsberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. When AC Mayonnaise's Stig-Arne Ödman in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Douglas Källberg during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. AC Mayonnaise made a substitution. Leif Skräddare replaced Kjell-Arne Lindberg. A collision led to Överås BK getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Douglas Källberg hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stig-Arne Ödman in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stig Palmquist prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
