The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Vitório Negri fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zemantauskas FC's protests and gave Vitório Negri a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Överås BK booed when Zemantauskas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitório Negri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Almir Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Engström in the 5th minute of play. Almir Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melker Låsberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amílton Ferreira got free with Stig Palmquist in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 19th minute, Jonas Gunnarsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stig Palmquist acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 20th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Maurinho Albuquerque. Stig Palmquist was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Joel de Senna capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joel de Senna really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The supporters of Överås BK booed when Zemantauskas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amílton Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute, Téo Luz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stig Palmquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amílton Ferreira in the 38th minute of play. Almir Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Engström in the 41st minute of play. In the 46th minute Sven-Erik Sjöman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almir Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amílton Ferreira to make the kick off. Almir Cruz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven-Erik Sjöman in the 52nd minute. After 53 minutes, Rubens Reis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zemantauskas FC and the Överås BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 53 played minutes Zemantauskas FC got a freekick which was hit by Rubens Reis. In the 56th minute, Douglas Källberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 67th minute of the match Jonas Gunnarsson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Almir Cruz skillfully saved the ball. In the 72nd match minute, Zemantauskas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Téo Luz to maneuver through the defense. Almir Cruz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Elias Strömberg. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Téo Luz during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 74th match minute, Zemantauskas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Téo Luz to maneuver through the defense. Sven-Erik Sjöman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Almir Cruz came out and tried to block the shot, but Sven-Erik Sjöman slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 78th minute. Zemantauskas FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Överås BK had controlled the match.
