Spectators: 7511 (Terracing: 5634, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Wilson Favoretto started the match with the kick off. After 6 minutes, Wilson Favoretto made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Curiphila Eagles's Murilo Paiva tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Wilson Favoretto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Murilo Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Marquinhos Meirelles came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the SC Bertioga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marquinhos Meirelles couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Wilson Favoretto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Murilo Paiva was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. In the last second Toninho Trancoso throw himself and got hold of the ball when Donato Prestes in the 24thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Murilo Paiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilson Favoretto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Donato Prestes kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilson Favoretto in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Murilo Paiva saved Curiphila Eagles from getting behind. In the 47th minute of the match Marquinhos Meirelles shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Murilo Paiva showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donato Prestes was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes of play SC Bertioga's Wilton Barral was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 54th match minute, SC Bertioga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilton Barral to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donato Prestes in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Toninho Trancoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donato Prestes in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Toninho Trancoso saved SC Bertioga from getting behind. Wilson Favoretto hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. SC Bertioga's Toninho Trancoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Prestes in the 60th minute of play. Donato Oliveira hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Toninho Trancoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Prestes, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After a rather tough play, SC Bertioga's Wilson Favoretto got a free kick in the 68th minute. The supporters of Curiphila Eagles booed when SC Bertioga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marquinhos Meirelles didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Reinaldo Cearense fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Curiphila Eagles's protests and gave Reinaldo Cearense a yellow card for diving instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kiko Mattos during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Bertioga eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
