In a very dangerous position, a player in Liga de Quito fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 15th minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Matheo Gaborit in the 20th minute of play forced Liga de Quito's goalkeeper Zeledon Bravain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Hugues Delas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ponce Bollo kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matheo Gaborit in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeledon Bravain saved Liga de Quito from getting behind. After having played for 30 minutes, Hugues Delas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chaponnay FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugues Delas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ponce Bollo kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. If Hugues Delas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 35th play minutes Matheo Gaborit shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Zeledon Bravain and just under the crossbar into goal. After a defensive mix-up in Liga de Quito's zone, Matheo Gaborit stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeledon Bravain came out of the goal and Matheo Gaborit tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hugues Delas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Zeledon Bravain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Chaponnay FC booed when Liga de Quito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Mascareñas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hugues Delas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Zeledon Bravain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Liga de Quito players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Chaponnay FC were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matheo Gaborit made a kick off. A collision led to Liga de Quito getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Velasco Ilarraza hit a great ball.
