Pierre-Antoine Joron was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Quintin Saldana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matheo Gaborit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pierre-Antoine Joron didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alvin Santiago went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 19 minutes into the game, Cosmos Soccer Club's Marcus Maher nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pierre-Antoine Joron made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Chaponnay FC's Pierre-Antoine Joron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claude Tuttle in the 25th minute of play. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Matheo Gaborit sped through Cosmos Soccer Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Quintin Saldana. Alvin Santiago charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alvin Santiago the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 36 minutes of play, Chaponnay FC's Matheo Gaborit made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Quintin Saldana was left in no man's land by his defense there! Quintin Saldana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matheo Gaborit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matheo Gaborit received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Quintin Saldana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Chaponnay FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cosmos Soccer Club were winning 2-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcus Maher made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claude Tuttle got free with Pierre-Antoine Joron in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pierre-Antoine Joron made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alvin Santiago in the 59th minute. When Thierry Rouge fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chaponnay FC's protests and gave Thierry Rouge a yellow card for diving instead. Thierry Rouge kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After 65 played minutes Cosmos Soccer Club got a freekick which was hit by Emilio Felipe Poyer. In the 70th match minute, Chaponnay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teddy Peyrat to maneuver through the defense. Chaponnay FC's Jean-Philippe Bras was substituted for Matheo Gaborit. Chaponnay FC made a substitution. Mickaël Gamet replaced Farid Walch. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jean-Philippe Bras in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Quintin Saldana saved Cosmos Soccer Club from getting behind. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Cosmos Soccer Club eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
