With a little luck, Liga de Quito's Zeledon Bravain got control of the ball when Devlet Enver tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 6 minutes of play, Liga de Quito's Ponce Bollo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Asım Enginer was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as ARAKLISPOR's Osman Tara slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zeledon Bravain. That made the score 1-1 after 10 minutes of play. In the 15th minute Cüneyd Arıkhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Bravain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Asım Enginer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ponce Bollo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ponce Bollo hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute of the match, Cüneyd Arıkhan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zeledon Bravain saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Urrutia Tacon's late challenge caught a ARAKLISPOR's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Urrutia Tacon helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Liga de Quito getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Urrutia Tacon hit a great ball. Zeledon Bravain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osman Tara, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Liga de Quito's Zeledon Bravain proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Liga de Quito from getting a goal against them. In the 40th minute, Velasco Ilarraza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Asım Enginer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ponce Bollo in the 43rd minute of the match. Devlet Enver received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Zeledon Bravain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the game, ARAKLISPOR's Osman Tara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zeledon Bravain made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cüneyd Arıkhan to make the kick off. In the 55th minute Osman Tara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Bravain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zeledon Bravain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cüneyd Arıkhan in the 56th minute of play. Asım Enginer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ponce Bollo in the 69th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osman Tara in the 71st minute of play forced Liga de Quito's goalkeeper Zeledon Bravain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute Fadıl Peşrev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Bravain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zeledon Bravain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cüneyd Arıkhan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Liga de Quito's Zeledon Bravain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osman Tara in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Liga de Quito's goal looked a bit too open when Cüneyd Arıkhan came free, but Zeledon Bravain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Velasco Ilarraza during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cüneyd Arıkhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Bravain having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Cüneyd Arıkhan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zeledon Bravain was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. After 90 minutes of play Liga de Quito's Urrutia Tacon was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 92 minutes into the match, Liga de Quito's goal looked a bit too open when Osman Tara came free, but Zeledon Bravain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cüneyd Arıkhan made a great header on ARAKLISPOR's corner, it was just that Liga de Quito's Zeledon Bravain managed to reach the ball for a save.
