Toni Schoonderwoerd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erwin Avellano, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After 38 played minutes YerBaTerOs got a freekick which was hit by Xicu Hortero. 42 minutes into the game, Rosero Castillo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. YerBaTerOs's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Buitenhout FC the free kick. The supporters of Buitenhout FC booed when YerBaTerOs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rosero Castillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Herman Sparnaaij struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Mendez Gamones didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buitenhout FC. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arjen Rodenboog to strike the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, Buitenhout FC's goalkeeper Toni Schoonderwoerd had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rosero Castillo. YerBaTerOs's Rubén Raireta suffered a sore foot after 62 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Huub Erenstein charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee ignored Buitenhout FC's protests and gave Roel van Zalingen a yellow card for diving instead. Roel van Zalingen hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Mendez Gamones showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wesley Kiewit in the 90th minute of the match. Erwin Avellano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Toni Schoonderwoerd made a huge save. YerBaTerOs's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Buitenhout FC had won, even though YerBaTerOs had held more of the ball.
