Spectators: 7454 (Terracing: 5591, Seating: 1714, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ricardo Netto took the kick off in the first half of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Horacio Bergada during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 3 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Clube Esportivo Saudade! Eleodoro Cayuela had several of the Desportivo Coala's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 12 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Benjamim Cearense as he didn't even see the shot coming. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Paulin Canosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube Esportivo Saudade's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulin Canosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamim Cearense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 19th minute, Renaldo Jauregui reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benjamim Cearense. The goal made the score 2-1. After a rather tough play, Desportivo Coala's João Augusto de Brito got a free kick in the 29th minute. Desportivo Coala's Benjamim Cearense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleodoro Cayuela in the 31st minute of play. When Juvenal Silva came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Clube Esportivo Saudade fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juvenal Silva couldn't finish the play. Benjamim Cearense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulin Canosa in the 35th minute. Desportivo Coala's Benjamim Cearense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleodoro Cayuela in the 40th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eleodoro Cayuela to make the kick off. In the 58th match minute, Desportivo Coala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Salgado to maneuver through the defense. Benjamim Cearense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eleodoro Cayuela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 65 played minutes Desportivo Coala got a freekick which was hit by João Augusto de Brito. After 67 minutes, Adelio Solana mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clube Esportivo Saudade and the Desportivo Coala players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Desportivo Coala booed when Clube Esportivo Saudade was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adelio Solana didn't get a good kick on the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Desportivo Coala's goal looked a bit too open when Paulin Canosa came free, but Benjamim Cearense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benjamim Cearense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eleodoro Cayuela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute, Celso Leon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Desportivo Coala getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Carlos Eduardo Figueiredo hit a great ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Clube Esportivo Saudade fully deserved thier win.
