Ponce Rodriguez's late challenge caught a KFC Vliegplein's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ponce Rodriguez helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of KFC Vliegplein booed when Abeluse Flow was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ponce Rodriguez didn't get a good kick on the ball. The KFC Vliegplein players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Abeluse Flow were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francis Casillas was the one to do the kick off. Angelo Bodelon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octaaf Van Acht having to interfere. Octaaf Van Acht made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Cordoba in the 68th minute of play. After 68 played minutes KFC Vliegplein got a freekick which was hit by Tuur Van De Wijngaert. Octaaf Van Acht was a little too slow when Francis Casillas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 0-3. When Thys Helsen came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the KFC Vliegplein fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thys Helsen couldn't finish the play. Frederic Verduijn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Vliegplein's zone, Francis Casillas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octaaf Van Acht came out of the goal and Francis Casillas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amancio Comas kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. When KFC Vliegplein's Frederic Verduijn in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
