Miroslav Turanec's late challenge caught a Tabossi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Everardo Ixidor couldn't finish the play. Ladislao Kiliz hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Marián Vrabec took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Gitano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Simon Močarník struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Omar Paul didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Villarreal FK. Eugen Klingáčik kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match.
