Higinio Lizbeth was out of position in the 6 minute of play, and Edgardo Bartoli capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edgardo Bartoli really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After a rather tough play, The Old Boys's Tadeo Abarca got a free kick in the 10th minute. Pablo Larios made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enzo Gorka in the 11th minute of play. Higinio Lizbeth made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Eleuterio Frances sent off a good shot on target. In the 13th minute, Gerardo Francho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Higinio Lizbeth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justo Perpinya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 23 minutes, Leonel Iratzeder mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the The Old Boys and the Maní FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd match minute, The Old Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Iratzeder to maneuver through the defense. Ovidio Weterio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pablo Larios. The Old Boys's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tadeo Abarca showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After 34 minutes of play The Old Boys's Leonel Iratzeder was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Leonel Iratzeder kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Pablo Larios showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Ramone, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After a rather tough play, Maní FC's Javier Lehior got a free kick in the 37th minute. An unexpected shot in the 38th minute by Edgardo Bartoli got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The supporters of The Old Boys booed when Maní FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enzo Gorka didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tadeo Abarca during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59th minute, Enzo Gorka got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Higinio Lizbeth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeo Abarca in the 61st minute of play. Higinio Lizbeth came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by The Old Boys's Tadeo Abarca. But to his dismay, Tadeo Abarca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 70th minute, Tadeo Abarca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Higinio Lizbeth was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Pablo Larios didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ovidio Weterio went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Ovidio Weterio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Pablo Larios tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Old Boys's Pablo Larios proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save The Old Boys from getting a goal against them. In the 82nd match minute, The Old Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cláudio Suárez to maneuver through the defense.
