The audience held their breath when Nereo Ibarguen in the 12th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Dimas Rijo's left hand side. 15 minutes into the match, FC Beatriz 08's goal looked a bit too open when Edelmiro Villar came free, but Dimas Rijo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute of the match FC Beatriz 08 got a corner. Snorlax FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gregório Brochado ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Gregório Brochado got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fulco Briones quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Edelmiro Villar came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Snorlax FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edelmiro Villar couldn't finish the play. In the 38th minute Edelmiro Villar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimas Rijo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dimas Rijo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edelmiro Villar in the 42nd minute of the match. Domingos Estrela kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Edelmiro Villar struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Dimas Rijo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Snorlax FC. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edelmiro Villar made a kick off. Cris Ronaldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Dimas Rijo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edelmiro Villar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dimas Rijo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Puebla in the 62nd minute of play forced FC Beatriz 08's goalkeeper Dimas Rijo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edelmiro Villar in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dimas Rijo saved FC Beatriz 08 from getting behind. FC Beatriz 08's Dimas Rijo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save FC Beatriz 08 from getting a goal against them. Cris Ronaldo struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Dimas Rijo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Snorlax FC. Dimas Rijo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edelmiro Villar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 72 minute of play. Dimas Rijo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edelmiro Villar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Veríssimo Bulhosa fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Beatriz 08's protests and gave Veríssimo Bulhosa a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, FC Beatriz 08's Veríssimo Bulhosa got a free kick in the 89th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cris Ronaldo got free with Dimas Rijo in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in FC Beatriz 08's zone, Edelmiro Villar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dimas Rijo came out of the goal and Edelmiro Villar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Snorlax FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
