After 38 minutes of play, Inter Gala's José Vítor Nóbrega made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Filomeno Atarrabi was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Inter Gala getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Mané Perez hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 52 played minutes Inter Gala got a freekick which was hit by Tony Ferraz. A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's Edgard Romano got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Natalio Martxel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's Natalio Martxel got a free kick in the 65th minute. When Severo Lano fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's protests and gave Severo Lano a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to A.D Atlético Villa Gesell getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. In the 87th match minute, A.D Atlético Villa Gesell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Ibon to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Inter Gala's zone, Osvaldo Ibon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faustão Hermes came out of the goal and Osvaldo Ibon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Natalio Martxel got free with Faustão Hermes in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Inter Gala were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
