Meder Durango came out of the goal and Serafino Estevez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ulises Bernebe hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Lucio Christobal successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 23 minutes into the match, Habsburgo's goal looked a bit too open when Germán Alonso came free, but Lucio Christobal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32ndth minute of the game Baltasar Mouricio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Boca Juniors's Meder Durango was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Habsburgo getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Severino Gipuzkoa hit a great ball. The supporters of Habsburgo booed when Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xorxe Verges didn't get a good kick on the ball. Meder Durango made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltasar Mouricio in the 39th minute of play. Firmo Quiroga's late challenge caught a Habsburgo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Firmo Quiroga helped the player get up and apologised. Meder Durango took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltasar Mouricio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Germán Alonso to make the kick off. Habsburgo's Lucio Christobal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Germán Alonso in the 51st minute of play. Lucio Christobal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Germán Alonso in the 54th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Habsburgo defense, Costante Verdaguer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucio Christobal. The Habsburgo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucio Christobal should have stopped the shot. When Boca Juniors's Germán Alonso in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When Severino Gipuzkoa fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Habsburgo's protests and gave Severino Gipuzkoa a yellow card for diving instead. After 84 played minutes Habsburgo got a freekick which was hit by Severino Gipuzkoa. Lucio Christobal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Germán Alonso, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Boca Juniors fans cheered their team off the field, for while Habsburgo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
