Lucio Christobal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Lacerda in the 3rd minute of the match. A collision led to Habsburgo getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Ulises Bernebe hit a great ball. After having played for 5 minutes, Jean Corrêa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Goianésia E.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jean Corrêa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 9th minute of the match, Romeu Freitas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lucio Christobal was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 10th minute, Mário Aparecido got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Diego Porfirio hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute, Fidel Firme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Waldir Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goianésia E.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Waldir Cruz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucio Christobal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd minute, Igor Lacerda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lucio Christobal made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Jean Corrêa sent off a good shot on target. Lucio Christobal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Igor Lacerda went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Clemente Paes hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Habsburgo's Baltasar Mouricio couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 31st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Goianésia E.C. Lucio Christobal was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Igor Lacerda showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 33 minute of play. Habsburgo's Lucio Christobal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Habsburgo from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jean Corrêa got free with Lucio Christobal in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Habsburgo's Lucio Christobal got control of the ball when Igor Lacerda tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Lacerda in the 47th minute of play forced Habsburgo's goalkeeper Lucio Christobal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Serafino Estevez made a kick off. Zé Antunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltasar Mouricio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Serafino Estevez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Habsburgo's supporters rose to their feet, but Serafino Estevez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Antunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 59 minutes into the match, Igor Lacerda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucio Christobal. Habsburgo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Igor Lacerda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. 62 minutes into the game, Igor Lacerda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Goianésia E.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Habsburgo the free kick. In the 62nd minute, Igor Lacerda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute Jean Corrêa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucio Christobal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Igor Lacerda scored 5-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lucio Christobal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 70 minutes into the game, Goianésia E.C's Igor Lacerda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lucio Christobal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. If Serafino Estevez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute Mário Aparecido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucio Christobal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Igor Lacerda scored 7-0 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lucio Christobal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 95 minutes of play, Goianésia E.C's Mário Aparecido made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lucio Christobal was left in no man's land by his defense there! There was no doubt that Goianésia E.C were the better team. Goianésia E.C's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
