Carlos Fernando Mendes came out of the goal and Axel Strandberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th minute, Pelle Sjöman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wargön fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When Jens Ahlroht came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Wargön fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jens Ahlroht couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Gurdurão booed when Wargön was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Lundin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gurdurão's Carlos Fernando Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pelle Sjöman in the 31st minute of play. César Quirino's late challenge caught a Wargön's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. César Quirino helped the player get up and apologised. In the 32nd match minute, Gurdurão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by César Quirino to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Sebastian Andreasson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wargön's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Andreasson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Fernando Mendes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Axel Strandberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Fernando Mendes having to interfere. In the 47th minute Stig-Arne Ekblom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Fernando Mendes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

In the 51stth minute of the game Stig-Arne Ekblom who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gurdurão's Carlos Fernando Mendes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Stig-Arne Ekblom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Carlos Fernando Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
