With a little luck, Sheep United's Bennie Geerts got control of the ball when Albin Stolpe tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bennie Geerts made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Kurt Åkesson sent off a good shot on target. Bennie Geerts made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albin Stolpe in the 22nd minute. Michael Kuiper charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Michael Kuiper the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Albin Stolpe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kurt Åkesson got free with Bennie Geerts in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Martijn van Alst came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Sheep United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martijn van Alst couldn't finish the play. 36 minutes into the match, Sheep United's Henk van der Schans sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Måns Eliasson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 38 played minutes Porjus got a freekick which was hit by Ture Berglund. After having played for 39 minutes, Han Koekkoek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sheep United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Han Koekkoek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 45 minutes into the game, Elbert Berends was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sheep United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Porjus the free kick. Elbert Berends hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Porjus's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 47th minute of the game, when Sven-Oskar Josefsson after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Sheep United's goal. Sven-Oskar Josefsson was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The wind increased when Douglas Ahlstedt made the kick off in the second half. If Kurt Åkesson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sven-Oskar Josefsson fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Porjus's protests and gave Sven-Oskar Josefsson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 53rd match minute, Porjus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Oskar Josefsson to maneuver through the defense. Douglas Ahlstedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bennie Geerts having to interfere. Bennie Geerts didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Douglas Ahlstedt went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Douglas Ahlstedt might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bennie Geerts. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Douglas Ahlstedt ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Henk van der Schans managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sheep United's supporters rose to their feet, but Henk van der Schans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Måns Eliasson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 70 minutes into the game, Valentin Walroth was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Porjus's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sheep United the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Sheep United's zone, Ivan Ström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bennie Geerts came out of the goal and Ivan Ström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sheep United succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Porjus had controlled the match.
