The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maximino Endura during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Maximino Endura hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 6th minute, Fredrik Henden ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Efrain Abar was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The supporters of Club Dep. Union Madereros booed when Sagene IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noah Berdal didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Conrado Osorio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kjetil-André Garberg was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. After 16 played minutes Club Dep. Union Madereros got a freekick which was hit by Bernabe Suarez. If Oscar Sollid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The throw-in from Martin Jensrud in the 20th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Club Dep. Union Madereros's Silvio Gaztea. Adrian Selatse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kjetil-André Garberg having to interfere. Conrado Osorio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Kjetil-André Garberg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 29thth minute of the game Conrado Osorio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sagene IF's Kjetil-André Garberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 30th match minute, Sagene IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Sollid to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Sagene IF's zone, Adrian Selatse stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kjetil-André Garberg came out of the goal and Adrian Selatse tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kjetil-André Garberg made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Adrian Selatse sent off a good shot on target. Oscar Sollid's late challenge caught a Club Dep. Union Madereros's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oscar Sollid helped the player get up and apologised. After 36 played minutes Sagene IF got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Sollid. Kjetil-André Garberg made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Conrado Osorio sent off a good shot on target. Conrado Osorio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 46thth minute tested the skills of Kjetil-André Garberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Conrado Osorio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Conrado Osorio was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Oscar Sollid reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Efrain Abar. The goal made the score 1-2. 58 minutes into the match, Sagene IF's goal looked a bit too open when Conrado Osorio came free, but Kjetil-André Garberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 59 minutes into the game, Conrado Osorio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Kjetil-André Garberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Adrian Selatse might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kjetil-André Garberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adrian Selatse ran back to his position shaking his head. Sjur Strømmen kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Bjørn Søfteland's late challenge caught a Club Dep. Union Madereros's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bjørn Søfteland helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Sagene IF getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Bjørn Søfteland hit a great ball. Club Dep. Union Madereros's Silvio Gaztea managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Martin Jensrud in the 76 minute of the game. 77 minutes into the match, Sagene IF's goal looked a bit too open when Conrado Osorio came free, but Kjetil-André Garberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Club Dep. Union Madereros's Conrado Osorio in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sagene IF's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Osorio in the 84th minute of play forced Sagene IF's goalkeeper Kjetil-André Garberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Dep. Union Madereros's Silvio Gaztea quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Martin Jensrud, made in the 90th minute of the game. In the 91st minute, Adrian Selatse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kjetil-André Garberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrado Osorio in the 96th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
