Kjetil-André Garberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karel-Jan Gheysen in the 10th minute of the match. A collision led to Sagene IF getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Ingar Buer hit a great ball. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Winksele 2016's goalkeeper Lucas Iven, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, Winksele 2016's Kenney Imbreghts sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kjetil-André Garberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kenney Imbreghts struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Kjetil-André Garberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Winksele 2016. In the 25th minute, Winksele 2016's Karel-Jan Gheysen dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The supporters of Winksele 2016 booed when Sagene IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Jensrud didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Fredrik Henden's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lucas Iven was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Karel-Jan Gheysen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kjetil-André Garberg having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Sagene IF's zone, Kenney Imbreghts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kjetil-André Garberg came out of the goal and Kenney Imbreghts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Karel-Jan Gheysen to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Winksele 2016's Abel Lingier got a free kick in the 51st minute. Leon Leenders kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After having played for 54 minutes, Fredrik Henden managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sagene IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fredrik Henden was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 57 played minutes Winksele 2016 got a freekick which was hit by Daan Weets. When Sagene IF's Fredrik Henden in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Winksele 2016's goalie prevented a goal. Kjetil-André Garberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karel-Jan Gheysen in the 66th minute of the match. When Daan Weets fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Winksele 2016's protests and gave Daan Weets a yellow card for diving instead. In the 67th match minute, Winksele 2016 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daan Weets to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fredrik Henden in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lucas Iven saved Winksele 2016 from getting behind. Kjetil-André Garberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karel-Jan Gheysen in the 72nd minute of play. After 74 played minutes Winksele 2016 got a freekick which was hit by Leon Leenders. Fredrik Henden, 74 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karel-Jan Gheysen in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kjetil-André Garberg saved Sagene IF from getting behind. Kjetil-André Garberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ritchie Allaert went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Sagene IF's Kjetil-André Garberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karel-Jan Gheysen in the 91st minute of play. In the 95th minute, Billy Verstuyft ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kjetil-André Garberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. There was no doubt that Winksele 2016 were the better team. Winksele 2016's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
