Adolfo Abrantes hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Malte Sörman got free with Mateus Garcez in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bengt-Åke Smitt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Abrantes, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Karen FC's Bengt-Åke Smitt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Ronaldo in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Karen FC's Calle Wanner ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mateus Garcez. Mateus Garcez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Valério in the 32nd minute of play forced Karen FC's goalkeeper Bengt-Åke Smitt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute of the match, Rutger Löv tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mateus Garcez saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mateus Garcez made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Per Sjögren sent off a good shot on target. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adolfo Abrantes was the one to do the kick off. Rutger Löv scored 2-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mateus Garcez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 60th match minute, KINDERUZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Novais to maneuver through the defense. Mateus Garcez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calle Wanner in the 62nd minute of play. Bengt-Åke Smitt was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Cristian Ronaldo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cristian Ronaldo really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Bengt-Åke Smitt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolfo Abrantes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 75 minutes, Calle Wanner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karen FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Calle Wanner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Calle Wanner during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 77 played minutes Karen FC got a freekick which was hit by Calle Wanner. Bengt-Åke Smitt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adolfo Abrantes's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. If Ricardo Bandeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Calle Wanner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Mateus Garcez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Malte Sörman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mateus Garcez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per Sjögren in the 87th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Rutger Löv made a precise shot to the right of Mateus Garcez. KINDERUZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. In the 94th minute, Per Sjögren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Karen FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. KINDERUZ's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
