But to his dismay, Charles Molander quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Raimundo Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per Kock in the 13th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Confresa futebol clube.'s Anísio Macedo got a free kick in the 13th minute. Bo Jernberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inácio Gonçalves in the 22nd minute of play. Raimundo Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gösta Sjö, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After a rather tough play, Samba Fotboll U21's Viktor Bolin got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Per Kock managed to get in a good position for a shot. Samba Fotboll U21's supporters rose to their feet, but Per Kock was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raimundo Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Inácio Gonçalves was the one to do the kick off. Samba Fotboll U21's Bo Jernberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Samba Fotboll U21 from getting a goal against them. Raimundo Barros didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Uno Åberg went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Viktor Bolin was shown his second yellow card after 61 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Inácio Gonçalves received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bo Jernberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Inácio Gonçalves slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 78th minute.
