But to his dismay, 陆奕松 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Doni Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 陈阳森 in the 15th minute of play. The supporters of 广州太阳神足球俱乐部 booed when Barbie Doll United U23 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Carlos Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute, 蔡桦景 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Doni Pires was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by 陆奕松 in the 40th minute of play forced Barbie Doll United U23's goalkeeper Doni Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 曲谦耀 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Lopez in the 41st minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgard Lopez to make the kick off. After 70 minutes of play, 广州太阳神足球俱乐部's 陆奕松 made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Barbie Doll United U23's Doni Pires proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Barbie Doll United U23 from getting a goal against them.
