The referee showed Edgard Lopez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Barbie Doll United U23's Jeferson Fernandez got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belmiro Baptista in the 12th minute of play forced Barbie Doll United U23's goalkeeper Doni Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doni Pires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aníbal Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, Barbie Doll United U23's goal looked a bit too open when Belmiro Baptista came free, but Doni Pires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Vicente Meireles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barbie Doll United U23's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SALIMEN the free kick. The supporters of SALIMEN booed when Barbie Doll United U23 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Meireles didn't get a good kick on the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeferson Fernandez couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute Belmiro Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doni Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Tião Dante got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edgard Lopez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Claudinho Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute, José Vítor Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
Doni Pires was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Belmiro Baptista showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 52 minute of play. Doni Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aníbal Branco in the 55th minute of play. Tião França hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. When Marcel Romero came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the SALIMEN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcel Romero couldn't finish the play. Jeferson Fernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 72 minutes, Doni Pires successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Barbie Doll United U23's Doni Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belmiro Baptista in the 81st minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, SALIMEN's goal looked a bit too open when Jeferson Fernandez came free, but Claudinho Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgard Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudinho Teixeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 86 minutes into the match, SALIMEN's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Lopez came free, but Claudinho Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute, Edgard Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Belmiro Baptista's late challenge caught a Barbie Doll United U23's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Belmiro Baptista helped the player get up and apologised. Belmiro Baptista hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 95th match minute, SALIMEN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dráuzio Santos to maneuver through the defense. Claudinho Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Carlos Varela in the 97th minute of play. Many of SALIMEN's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. SALIMEN may have spent more time on the ball, but Barbie Doll United U23 were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
