After a rather tough play, Gyepüpataka's Ovidiu Anisie got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 6th minute of the match Ivan Felipo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Petrică Vorniceanu skillfully saved the ball. Mario Truylos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petrică Vorniceanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. In the 20th minute Edgar Jupân shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Quirze saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Ovidiu Vintilescu came free, but Damian Quirze reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ezequiel Pero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petrică Vorniceanu having to interfere. In the 43rd play minute Ezequiel Pero came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Petrică Vorniceanu. 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgar Jupân to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Hipolito Iago. Gyepüpataka's Ovidiu Anisie took a good shot, in the 55th minute, which hit the crossbar above Damian Quirze's head, and flew over the goal. Racing Club's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Gyepüpataka. Ezequiel Pero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petrică Vorniceanu having to interfere. Ezequiel Pero scored 2-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Petrică Vorniceanu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mario Truylos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Petrică Vorniceanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Ezequiel Pero made a precise shot to the right of Petrică Vorniceanu. Gyepüpataka's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Petrică Vorniceanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezequiel Pero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Ezequiel Pero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Petrică Vorniceanu was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Filomeno Venerando hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. A collision led to Racing Club getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Cristobal Nerio hit a great ball. Petrică Vorniceanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ezequiel Pero in the 91st minute of the match. Serafin Santos hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Tudor Lăzan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damian Quirze having to interfere. In the 96th match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mario Truylos to maneuver through the defense. Gyepüpataka's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Racing Club had won, even though Gyepüpataka had held more of the ball.
