When Wilson de Godoi came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Excelência de Luxe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilson de Godoi couldn't finish the play. When Aleksander Czeszyk fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lech Max's protests and gave Aleksander Czeszyk a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th minute, Aleksander Czeszyk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olaf Mis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Mangueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aleksander Czeszyk in the 24th minute of play forced Excelência de Luxe's goalkeeper João Paulo Zonta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariusz Modliszewski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but João Paulo Zonta made a huge save. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell João de Souza to make the kick off. A collision led to Excelência de Luxe getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Marco Tróia hit a great ball. Vinícius Hoffmann kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. João Paulo Zonta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aleksander Czeszyk, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teobald Podolski couldn't finish the play. Although Lech Max had been in control for most of the match, Excelência de Luxe still came away with the win.
