Cosimo Brunelli started the match with the kick off. Fabiano Pio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, De Pelgrims's Hendrik Adriaanse got control of the ball when Cosimo Brunelli tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Black Devil Napoli's Ermanno Natalucci got a free kick in the 11th minute. Antonio Baia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Kiewiet in the 13th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gert Boersma in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antonio Baia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jacques Stubbe kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Ermanno Natalucci could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Hendrik Adriaanse made a huge save. The supporters of Black Devil Napoli booed when De Pelgrims was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Kiewiet didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the game, De Pelgrims's Marco Kiewiet nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Antonio Baia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 34 played minutes De Pelgrims got a freekick which was hit by Steve de Hoop. The supporters of Black Devil Napoli booed when De Pelgrims was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdi van der Schaaf didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabiano Pio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Black Devil Napoli's goal looked a bit too open when Gert Boersma came free, but Antonio Baia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antonio Baia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marco Kiewiet's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. When Ermanno Natalucci came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Black Devil Napoli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ermanno Natalucci couldn't finish the play. Cosimo Brunelli received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hendrik Adriaanse came out and tried to block the shot, but Cosimo Brunelli slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 46th minute.

The wind increased when Marco Kiewiet made the kick off in the second half. If Gert Boersma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the match, Marco Kiewiet dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Antonio Baia, 1-3. De Pelgrims's Steve de Hoop got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rien Drenth took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Antonio Baia. Black Devil Napoli's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 64th minute, Donato Astolfi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Black Devil Napoli getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Antonio Di Carlo hit a great ball. When Gert Boersma came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the De Pelgrims fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gert Boersma couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Cosimo Brunelli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hendrik Adriaanse was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. A collision led to De Pelgrims getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Ferdi van der Schaaf hit a great ball. De Pelgrims's Hendrik Adriaanse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cosimo Brunelli in the 75th minute of play. After a rather tough play, De Pelgrims's Rien Drenth got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute, Ermanno Natalucci sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and De Pelgrims's Hendrik Adriaanse didn't even have to move. In the 79th minute Cosimo Brunelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hendrik Adriaanse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Black Devil Napoli getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Donato Astolfi hit a great ball. Hendrik Adriaanse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosimo Brunelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Black Devil Napoli's zone, Marco Kiewiet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonio Baia came out of the goal and Marco Kiewiet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gert Boersma in the 97th minute of play forced Black Devil Napoli's goalkeeper Antonio Baia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. De Pelgrims had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
