The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Asdfgh's Sixten Malmberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Pipa in the 3rd minute of play. Sixten Malmberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector-Luis Cadrecha in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector-Luis Cadrecha in the 10th minute of play forced Asdfgh's goalkeeper Sixten Malmberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Perlaza Corcoba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sixten Malmberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience was convinced that Perlaza Corcoba's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sixten Malmberg was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. 17 minutes into the match, Perlaza Corcoba had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sixten Malmberg. Sixten Malmberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perlaza Corcoba, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Birger Pil had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabio Ponce. Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Birger Pil was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 31st minute, Hector-Luis Cadrecha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 45 minutes of play, Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's Perlaza Corcoba made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sixten Malmberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Agustín Pipa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixten Malmberg having to interfere. Sixten Malmberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hector-Luis Cadrecha took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sixten Malmberg. Sixten Malmberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. Rubén Puerta made in the 75th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Geovanni Valle immediately put the ball in play. Asdfgh's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Perlaza Corcoba 77 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-7. Perlaza Corcoba made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 84thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Sixten Malmberg would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. 91 minutes into the match, Perlaza Corcoba had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sixten Malmberg. In the 96th minute, Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's Perlaza Corcoba ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sixten Malmberg. Sixten Malmberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-9.
