Baltazar Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Brandao in the 16th minute of the match. After some careless play in the ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ defense, Enio Motta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Milton Diaz. The ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Milton Diaz should have stopped the shot. Milton Diaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinei Palmeira in the 23rd minute of play. After 25 minutes of play, ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Julio De Leon made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Baltazar Nascimento was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Paulo Borges in the 31st minute of play forced ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s goalkeeper Milton Diaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s goal looked a bit too open when Claudinei Palmeira came free, but Milton Diaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, FC La Masia's goal looked a bit too open when Hermes Pinilla came free, but Baltazar Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Enio Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied.
