Ives Rohrer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvio Fonda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Silvio Fonda fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético Zelaya's protests and gave Silvio Fonda a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Atlético Zelaya getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. In the 38th minute, Dersim FC's Karamoko Bamba dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. With a little luck, Atlético Zelaya's Clemente Cordaryal got control of the ball when Pius Fimm tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gustavo Bingen kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

In the 68th minute Karamoko Bamba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Cordaryal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Karamoko Bamba had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Clemente Cordaryal. Atlético Zelaya's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Karamoko Bamba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. 73 minutes into the match, Karamoko Bamba notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Atlético Zelaya's Clemente Cordaryal. Clemente Cordaryal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Clemente Cordaryal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karamoko Bamba, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Atlético Zelaya's Clemente Cordaryal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heinz Hubert in the 77th minute of play. Pius Fimm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemente Cordaryal having to interfere. After some careless play in the Atlético Zelaya defense, Lukas Arpagaus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Clemente Cordaryal. The Atlético Zelaya fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Clemente Cordaryal should have stopped the shot. Christoph Schwartz's late challenge caught a Atlético Zelaya's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
