Filipe Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Rik in the 11th minute of play. The supporters of Ferreira Lopes MZC booed when Vampiros Aztecas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ildefonso Ponce didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Ferreira Lopes MZC's Guilherme Cruz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jeremias Orzaize made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Seguinus in the 25th minute of play forced Ferreira Lopes MZC's goalkeeper Filipe Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Ferreira Lopes MZC's Duarte Prata fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. 34 minutes into the game, Jonas Rik lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Filipe Cruz. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Alberto Novaes got free with Jeremias Orzaize in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guilherme Cruz had several of the Vampiros Aztecas's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 62 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-3 score and a disappointed Jeremias Orzaize as he didn't even see the shot coming. After 66 played minutes Vampiros Aztecas got a freekick which was hit by Roman Seguinus. Jeremias Orzaize made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guilherme Cruz in the 67th minute. When Roman Seguinus fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vampiros Aztecas's protests and gave Roman Seguinus a yellow card for diving instead. Roman Seguinus hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Uriel Gorosti during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ferreira Lopes MZC played a much better game than Vampiros Aztecas and deserved their victory. The Vampiros Aztecas players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
