After 4 minutes of play, Mayhem Sharks's Ton Torres made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicky Rauvoets was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 13th minute, Ton Torres reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nicky Rauvoets. The goal made the score 2-0. Mayhem Sharks's Marcelo Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurenz Kerselaers in the 16th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Pieter-Jan Roelandts put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Marcelo Alves. 24 minutes into the match, KV Schoonwater's goal looked a bit too open when Ton Torres came free, but Nicky Rauvoets reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Pieter-Jan Roelandts made a precise shot to the right of Marcelo Alves. Mayhem Sharks's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. In the 28th minute Ton Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicky Rauvoets saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicky Rauvoets was a little too slow when Ton Torres got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 3-2. Baltazar Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th match minute, Mayhem Sharks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raúl Pitta to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rony Meira was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Rony Meira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 58th minute, Laerte Trigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute Pieter-Jan Roelandts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mayhem Sharks's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Laurenz Kerselaers scored to the left of an out of position Marcelo Alves, making the score, 3-4. 73 minutes into the match, Pieter-Jan Roelandts had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelo Alves. Mayhem Sharks's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pieter-Jan Roelandts was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-5. Mayhem Sharks's Marcelo Alves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Mayhem Sharks from getting a goal against them. Laurenz Kerselaers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Marcelo Alves made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Mayhem Sharks's Raúl Pitta got a free kick in the 85th minute. KV Schoonwater's Matthias Persoons was substituted for Charles Cheepers. In the 87th match minute, Mayhem Sharks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raúl Pitta to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Mayhem Sharks booed when KV Schoonwater was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthias Persoons didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded KV Schoonwater left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Mayhem Sharks.
