The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

In the 51st minute of the match, Bernardino Chuse sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Stig-Arne Lange showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celestino Evangelista got free with Stig-Arne Lange in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Octavio Frascuelo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 68th minute, Octavio Frascuelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stig-Arne Lange acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 74th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Anacleto Damario.
