Alexander Strzelczyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Helge Jonasson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexander Strzelczyk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Törnkvist in the 4th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, SSV Ulm 1846's Marc Greizer got a free kick in the 5th minute. The supporters of Guldsmedshyttan IK booed when SSV Ulm 1846 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bogdan Jank didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexander Strzelczyk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Törnkvist in the 20th minute of the match. Alexander Strzelczyk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Törnkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Guldsmedshyttan IK's Stig-Arne Lange proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Guldsmedshyttan IK from getting a goal against them. Bror Nyberg hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Guldsmedshyttan IK's Bror Nyberg got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 41st match minute, Guldsmedshyttan IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Helge Jonasson to maneuver through the defense. Bengt-Arne Biörkman was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 43 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Guldsmedshyttan IK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! Constantin Brenner placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kassian Rinke in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stig-Arne Lange prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 57 minutes, Mattias Frisk mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guldsmedshyttan IK and the SSV Ulm 1846 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mattias Frisk hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Constantin Brenner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Helge Jonasson charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Helge Jonasson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Guldsmedshyttan IK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bror Nyberg in the 86th minute. After taking down the ball on Guldsmedshyttan IK's corner Bror Nyberg fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alexander Strzelczyk quite easily take care of the ball. After having played for 88 minutes, Kassian Rinke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SSV Ulm 1846's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kassian Rinke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 96th match minute, Guldsmedshyttan IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Helge Jonasson to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the SSV Ulm 1846 players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
