Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) Erasmo Maureo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, San Lorenzo's Gogo Cordairo got a free kick in the 17th minute. A hard shot 19 in the game by Celestino Evangelista from a close distance when the talented Amadeo Tabor managed to make a qualified save. San Lorenzo's players were relieved. 24 minutes into the game, Candido Costante was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Lorenzo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palermo AFC the free kick. After 24 played minutes San Lorenzo got a freekick which was hit by Candido Costante. After 25 played minutes Palermo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Tobias Sasoin. Jairo Alonso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Maureo in the 28th minute of play. Jairo Alonso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorino Nafarroa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to San Lorenzo getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Desiderio Elia hit a great ball. San Lorenzo's Amadeo Tabor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celestino Evangelista in the 35th minute of play. After 42 minutes, Gogo Cordairo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the San Lorenzo and the Palermo AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The goalkeeper, Amadeo Tabor, was totally fooled by Palermo AFC's Teodosio Stanislao, who 44 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Celestino Evangelista was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Gogo Cordairo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 52nd minute of the match Teodosio Stanislao shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amadeo Tabor showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Desiderio Elia charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Desiderio Elia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Palermo AFC's Saverio Boni was substituted for Tobias Sasoin. Desiderio Elia kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. San Lorenzo's Amadeo Tabor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celestino Evangelista in the 58th minute of play. Amadeo Tabor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celestino Evangelista in the 60th minute of the match. Saverio Boni kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. A hard shot by Jacobo Cucao from long distance, 64 minutes into the match, got Jairo Alonso's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Candido Costante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Palermo AFC booed when San Lorenzo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gogo Cordairo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Teodosio Stanislao managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palermo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodosio Stanislao was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amadeo Tabor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 75th minute, Gogo Cordairo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Teodosio Stanislao came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Palermo AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodosio Stanislao couldn't finish the play. Celestino Evangelista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Amadeo Tabor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 87th play minutes Celestino Evangelista shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Amadeo Tabor and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celestino Evangelista in the 90th minute of play forced San Lorenzo's goalkeeper Amadeo Tabor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celestino Evangelista kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. When Palermo AFC's Celestino Evangelista in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye San Lorenzo's goalie prevented a goal. San Lorenzo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
