Isaias Quirze was a little too slow when Adhemar Freire got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 16th minute, Wanderson Baptista reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Isaias Quirze. The goal made the score 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serginho Nóbrega in the 20th minute of play forced Mercado Paulista F.C's goalkeeper Isaias Quirze to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute, Sergio Burni left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mercado Paulista F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 28th minute Israel Santo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beto de Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Israel Santo made a kick off. Israel Santo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Beto de Sousa came out and tried to block the shot, but Israel Santo slotted it home off the left post making it 5-2 in the 53rd minute. 56 minutes into the match, Vila Nova FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bishen Vata came free, but Beto de Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henrique do Vale scored 6-2 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Isaias Quirze, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Beto de Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bishen Vata, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After 69 played minutes Vila Nova FC got a freekick which was hit by Adhemar Freire. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Israel Santo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mercado Paulista F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Israel Santo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beto de Sousa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adhemar Freire in the 73rd minute of play forced Mercado Paulista F.C's goalkeeper Isaias Quirze to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adhemar Freire hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Natalio Ralondo charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Natalio Ralondo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Mercado Paulista F.C's Natalio Ralondo got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Maurinho Custódio hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. 86 minutes into the game, Luiz Gustavo Oliveira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vila Nova FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mercado Paulista F.C the free kick. In the 86th minute, one of Vila Nova FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Vila Nova FC. When Bishen Vata fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mercado Paulista F.C's protests and gave Bishen Vata a yellow card for diving instead. Bishen Vata hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that Vila Nova FC were the better team. Vila Nova FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
