Spectators: 7545 (Terracing: 5660, Seating: 1735, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Goffrey Lissens kicked off to start the match. Florencio Antoniano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 4 minutes, Txeru Montaña made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. FC Bruges's Douglas Schoenmaekers tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Douglas Schoenmaekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Txeru Montaña in the 8th minute of the match. In the 10th minute, Henrik Lanfan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If William Allonca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, GreenUnited's William Allonca got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 22nd minute William Allonca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglas Schoenmaekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Florencio Antoniano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Douglas Schoenmaekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florencio Antoniano in the 25th minute of play. Eli Villalobos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony Henderickx in the 26th minute of play. William Allonca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglas Schoenmaekers having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Florencio Antoniano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Douglas Schoenmaekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Ief De Baere's late challenge caught a GreenUnited's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ief De Baere helped the player get up and apologised. In the 37th minute, Ief De Baere hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute Txeru Montaña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglas Schoenmaekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gartzen Pons in the 42nd minute of play forced FC Bruges's goalkeeper Douglas Schoenmaekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to GreenUnited getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Lain Bejarano hit a great ball. In the 44th minute, Herman Bormans sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and GreenUnited's Eli Villalobos didn't even have to move. 47 minutes into the match, FC Bruges's goal looked a bit too open when Txeru Montaña came free, but Douglas Schoenmaekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Txeru Montaña to make the kick off. With a little luck, FC Bruges's Douglas Schoenmaekers got control of the ball when Florencio Antoniano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eli Villalobos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Smidts in the 57th minute of play. FC Bruges were furious when Jozef De Custer was red carded, 59 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After a rather tough play, FC Bruges's Jozef De Custer got a free kick in the 59th minute. Gaitano Quincoces's late challenge caught a FC Bruges's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaitano Quincoces helped the player get up and apologised. After 62 played minutes GreenUnited got a freekick which was hit by Gaitano Quincoces. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Douglas Schoenmaekers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as GreenUnited's Txeru Montaña slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Douglas Schoenmaekers. That made the score 0-3 after 66 minutes of play. In the 69th minute, Harry Van der Veeken got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Denis Smidts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eli Villalobos having to interfere. Douglas Schoenmaekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from William Allonca in the 72nd minute of the match. Txeru Montaña in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Douglas Schoenmaekers, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Tony Henderickx struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Eli Villalobos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Bruges. Douglas Schoenmaekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Txeru Montaña, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After 80 played minutes FC Bruges got a freekick which was hit by Denis Smidts. When GreenUnited's Txeru Montaña in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Bruges's goalie prevented a goal. Txeru Montaña recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Florencio Antoniano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Douglas Schoenmaekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Txeru Montaña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The FC Bruges fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. GreenUnited were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
