The supporters of Altamora FC booed when Tribos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benedito Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Norberto Vilanova struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Elder Cerezo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Altamora FC. Norberto Vilanova who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Elder Cerezo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 9thth minute of the game Claudemiro Coelho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tribos's Elder Cerezo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Elder Cerezo made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Norberto Vilanova sent off a good shot on target. António Colaço received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Elder Cerezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Hudson Ortiz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 23 minutes into the match, Tribos's goalkeeper Elder Cerezo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Norberto Vilanova. In the 26th minute, Nilmar da Silveira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tribos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 31st minute, Nilmar da Silveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Claudemiro Coelho sped through Tribos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Elder Cerezo. With a little luck, Tribos's Elder Cerezo got control of the ball when Claudemiro Coelho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alexandre Teles kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. With his leg Elder Cerezo managed to avoid a goal in the 43rdth minute, when Altamora FC's Norberto Vilanova fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Norberto Vilanova made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Benedito Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Tribos's zone, Norberto Vilanova stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elder Cerezo came out of the goal and Norberto Vilanova tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 55th minute Claudemiro Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elder Cerezo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maurício Quinaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute António Colaço shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elder Cerezo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudemiro Coelho in the 66th minute of play forced Tribos's goalkeeper Elder Cerezo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Norberto Vilanova fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elder Cerezo having to interfere. A collision led to Tribos getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Nilmar da Silveira hit a great ball. In the 75th minute, Claudemiro Coelho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Altamora FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Vítor Pádua stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nilmar da Silveira's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Salvador Curado hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Sidney Bittencourt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elder Cerezo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudemiro Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Norberto Vilanova managed to get in a good position for a shot. Altamora FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Norberto Vilanova was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elder Cerezo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee ended the match the Altamora FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
