An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Beltran in the 10th minute of play forced Karaboudjan's goalkeeper Kiko da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Road To Glory's Hipolito Figueroa got a free kick in the 13th minute. Jonathan Beltran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Road To Glory's Tomás Calixto got control of the ball when Frank Soares tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kiko da Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Domingues, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aloísio Gaspar during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aloísio Gaspar hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

After 73 played minutes, Road To Glory's Justino Raulo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kiko da Costa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Road To Glory reached it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Soares in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomás Calixto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arlindo Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Tomás Calixto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tales Mota hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. If Justino Raulo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tales Mota during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
