Jan-Niclas Ebus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kai Hellmann hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Jan Kannen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Poli Timisoara's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan Kannen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrzej Budacz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 33 played minutes Poli Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Randy Kissling. The supporters of Poli Timisoara booed when Bastion Juźkowa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cyprian Penkalski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrzej Budacz made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Jan Kannen sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Kannen in the 41st minute of play forced Bastion Juźkowa's goalkeeper Andrzej Budacz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jan Kannen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Til Krupp's late challenge caught a Bastion Juźkowa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Til Krupp helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Bastion Juźkowa booed when Poli Timisoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jan Kannen made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jochen Frohlich in the 52nd minute of play forced Bastion Juźkowa's goalkeeper Andrzej Budacz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jan-Niclas Ebus came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Poli Timisoara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan-Niclas Ebus couldn't finish the play. Cyprian Penkalski kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the game, Poli Timisoara's Jan Kannen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andrzej Budacz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 65 minutes of play Poli Timisoara's Til Krupp was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Bogumil Psotka's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andreas Pfaff read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. In the 71st minute Jan-Niclas Ebus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrzej Budacz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Poli Timisoara's attentive Randy Kissling managed to snatch the ball when Zenon Kluska made a throw-in in the 73rd minute of the game. In the 73rd match minute, Bastion Juźkowa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zenon Kluska to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Andreas Pfaff managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Bastion Juźkowa's Beniamin Gollob fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 94th minute, Kai Hellmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Poli Timisoara fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bastion Juźkowa had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
