Roque Senio hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, Los Delfines's Roque Senio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andreas Pfaff narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 17 minutes into the game, Los Delfines's Horacio Heriberto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andreas Pfaff made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Samuel Egun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jan Kannen went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 30th match minute, Los Delfines was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejandro Illan to maneuver through the defense. Jochen Frohlich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, Roque Senio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horacio Heriberto in the 39th minute of play forced Poli Timisoara's goalkeeper Andreas Pfaff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uwe Icking hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Andreas Pfaff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horacio Heriberto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Poli Timisoara's zone, Roque Senio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andreas Pfaff came out of the goal and Roque Senio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Horacio Heriberto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andreas Pfaff was relentless in the 45th minute of the game.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jan Kannen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Andreas Pfaff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horacio Heriberto in the 60th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Los Delfines's goalkeeper Samuel Egun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan-Niclas Ebus. Poli Timisoara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan Kannen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Jan Kannen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Poli Timisoara's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan Kannen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuel Egun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 81st match minute, Los Delfines was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celestino Hats to maneuver through the defense. Jan Kannen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Samuel Egun made a huge save. Alejandro Illan took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Andreas Pfaff. Andreas Pfaff dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Poli Timisoara's Jan Kannen got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roque Senio's late challenge caught a Poli Timisoara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roque Senio helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Poli Timisoara booed when Los Delfines was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roque Senio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jan Kannen struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Samuel Egun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poli Timisoara. After a rather tough play, Los Delfines's Roque Senio got a free kick in the 97th minute. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Los Delfines were victorious despite being under pressure from Poli Timisoara for much of the match.
