In the 18th minute, Ildefonso Ortle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th minute Ildefonso Ortle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Godfredo Quinteros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Enrique de Senna. Pereiras FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Godfredo Quinteros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Enrique de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godfredo Quinteros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ildefonso Ortle to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Gaviotas FC's Godfredo Quinteros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Enrique de Senna made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. After 57 played minutes Pereiras FC got a freekick which was hit by Aloísio de Barros. Gaviotas FC's Damian Rufo was substituted for Fabricio Jakobe. Aloísio de Barros hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciro Mandrak in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gavino Luke prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 65 minutes into the match, Pereiras FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ildefonso Ortle came free, but Enrique de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 69 played minutes Pereiras FC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fábio Passos. Gaviotas FC made a substitution. Santiago Oliverio replaced Anastasio Arce. Gaviotas FC's Rodolfo Ursino was substituted for Godfredo Quinteros. In the 70th minute, Luiz Fábio Passos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
