Spectators: 7495 (Terracing: 5622, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 149) In the 9th minute of the match BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB got a corner. Gaviotas FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Silvestre Niguel ran over to the corner to take the kick. 11 minutes into the game, Godfredo Quinteros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Higinio Gonzales was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Godfredo Quinteros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Higinio Gonzales made a huge save. Casimiro Lopez got a throw-in 16 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Mariano Stephen. Gavino Luke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aureliano Javiero in the 19th minute of the match. Higinio Gonzales was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Godfredo Quinteros capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Godfredo Quinteros really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Aureliano Javiero might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gavino Luke. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aureliano Javiero ran back to his position shaking his head. Anastasio Arce hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the match, Gaviotas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Romulo Juvenal came free, but Gavino Luke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romulo Juvenal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gavino Luke stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Romulo Juvenal's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. 45 minutes into the game, Silvestre Niguel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gaviotas FC the free kick. The supporters of Gaviotas FC booed when BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvestre Niguel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Higinio Gonzales made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Godfredo Quinteros sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 52nd minute, Godfredo Quinteros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Higinio Gonzales was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Romulo Juvenal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gavino Luke. That made the score 3-1 in the 60 minute of play. Gaviotas FC made a substitution. Damian Rufo replaced Fabricio Jakobe. Gaviotas FC's Rodolfo Ursino was substituted for Godfredo Quinteros. The throw-in from Mariano Stephen in the 67th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's Hernan Raitin. Higinio Gonzales took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Ursino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute, Silvestre Niguel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Casimiro Lopez made in the 86th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Rodolfo Ursino immediately put the ball in play. BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's Higinio Gonzales played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingo Quinto in the 91st minute of play. Higinio Gonzales took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ildefonso Ortle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Romulo Juvenal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Gaviotas FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
