Afiq Hongyi made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Wágner Brodel sent off a good shot on target. Mark Ee charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mark Ee the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mark Ee kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Afiq Hongyi made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Wágner Brodel sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haziq Chew in the 12th minute of play forced Danone CC's goalkeeper Pedro Luiz da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Danone CC's Kiko Moraes got a free kick in the 13th minute. After 17 minutes of play, Danone CC's Wágner Brodel made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Afiq Hongyi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Afiq Hongyi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Toninho Magalhães in the 19th minute. In the 20th match minute, 苏州觅香足球俱乐部 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zak Sim to maneuver through the defense. Danone CC's Kiko Moraes shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 21st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Afiq Hongyi but with some difficulty. After 23 minutes, Kiko Moraes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Danone CC and the 苏州觅香足球俱乐部 players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd minute, Kiko Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 24 played minutes Danone CC got a freekick which was hit by Zeca Meirelles. The supporters of 苏州觅香足球俱乐部 booed when Danone CC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kiko Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the game, 苏州觅香足球俱乐部's Zak Sim nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Luiz da Cunha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wágner Brodel was the one to do the kick off. 苏州觅香足球俱乐部's Sean Yip got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 55 minutes into the game, Arif Kool was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 苏州觅香足球俱乐部's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Danone CC the free kick. After 56 played minutes, Danone CC's Kiko Moraes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Afiq Hongyi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Danone CC reached it. Chico de Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afiq Hongyi having to interfere. Haziq Chew could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Pedro Luiz da Cunha made a huge save. After 66 minutes of play, Danone CC's Dudu Silva made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Afiq Hongyi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chico de Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Arif Kool was shown his second yellow card after 92 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 93rd minute of the match Kiko Moraes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Afiq Hongyi skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chico de Azevedo in the 94th minute of play forced 苏州觅香足球俱乐部's goalkeeper Afiq Hongyi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
