Spectators: 7561 (Terracing: 5672, Seating: 1738, VIP seats: 151) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Wit Debowy started the match with the kick off. Iwan Betonowy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herwig Fehr in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute, Freddy Zahnleiter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the SV Bad Harzburg defense, Ziemowit Pusiak kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerald Zapf. The SV Bad Harzburg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerald Zapf should have stopped the shot. SV Bad Harzburg's Gerald Zapf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugeniusz Dudzik in the 13th minute of play. SV Bad Harzburg's Frido Sandkühler got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SV Bad Harzburg's Gerald Zapf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boguslaw Koperski in the 24th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Herwig Fehr had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iwan Betonowy. Młoda Warka's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Herwig Fehr was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Wit Debowys short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Gerald Zapf to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Boguslaw Koperski took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Gerald Zapf to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, SV Bad Harzburg's Gerald Zapf got control of the ball when Wit Debowy tried to sneak it across the goal line.

When the match had been going on for 53 minutes, SV Bad Harzburg's Frido Sandkühler got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Iwan Betonowy. SV Bad Harzburg's Gerald Zapf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wit Debowy in the 56th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as SV Bad Harzburg's Wiggo Letsche slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Iwan Betonowy. That made the score 3-4 after 58 minutes of play. Gerald Zapf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boguslaw Koperski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gerald Zapf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wit Debowy, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Niclas Goch kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Młoda Warka's goalkeeper Iwan Betonowy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frido Sandkühler. After 88 minutes, Jacek Fedosz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Młoda Warka and the SV Bad Harzburg players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of SV Bad Harzburg booed when Młoda Warka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacek Fedosz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Młoda Warka's Hieronim Dytrych was substituted for Jacek Fedosz. Jacek Fedosz hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Herwig Fehr managed to get in a good position for a shot. SV Bad Harzburg's supporters rose to their feet, but Herwig Fehr was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iwan Betonowy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 91 played minutes Młoda Warka got a freekick which was hit by Hieronim Dytrych. A hard shot by Frido Sandkühler from long distance, 92 minutes into the match, got Iwan Betonowy's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Herwig Fehr got free with Iwan Betonowy in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. SV Bad Harzburg succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Młoda Warka had controlled the match.
