Svartvallstjärnens IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cardiff City FC the free kick. In the 3rd minute Oscar Blai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Wallgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Efrain Mark fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Wallgren having to interfere. If Anders Löfdahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Efrain Mark's late challenge caught a Svartvallstjärnens IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Efrain Mark helped the player get up and apologised. Efrain Mark hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Roger Wallgren made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Efrain Mark sent off a good shot on target. Cardiff City FC's Oscar Blai was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Roger Wallgren in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 35th minute, Anders Löfdahl made a precise shot to the right of Filomeno Rencio. Cardiff City FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Svartvallstjärnens IF's Roger Wallgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Svartvallstjärnens IF from getting a goal against them. Anders Löfdahl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Cardiff City FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Oscar Blai in the 53rd minute. Filomeno Rencio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anders Löfdahl in the 61st minute. Roland Rolandsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Albano Quinito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roger Wallgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Licerio in the 68th minute of the match. Roger Wallgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Efrain Mark in the 74th minute of play. With a little luck, Cardiff City FC's Filomeno Rencio got control of the ball when Anders Löfdahl tried to sneak it across the goal line. Svartvallstjärnens IF's Roland Rolandsson got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Svartvallstjärnens IF played a much better game than Cardiff City FC and deserved their victory. The Cardiff City FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
