The referee ignored VfL Wolfsburg's protests and gave Boris Hägg a yellow card for diving instead. Boris Hägg hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Max Delin during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th match minute, Svartvallstjärnens IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Max Delin to maneuver through the defense. Roland Rolandsson hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Björn Ugla took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Måns Mossberg. Måns Mossberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Max Delin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Evert Wennerquist having to make a save. Björn Ugla hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Christian Bennet charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christian Bennet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Måns Mossberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jens-Ove Gustafsson in the 58th minute. A collision led to Svartvallstjärnens IF getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. After a rather tough play, VfL Wolfsburg's Jens-Ove Gustafsson got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Evert Wennerquist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Wallgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Svartvallstjärnens IF's Roger Wallgren got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Svartvallstjärnens IF's zone, Björn Ugla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Måns Mossberg came out of the goal and Björn Ugla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute, Isac Dalberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 76 played minutes VfL Wolfsburg got a freekick which was hit by Boris Hägg. Svartvallstjärnens IF's Roger Wallgren couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 77th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for VfL Wolfsburg. Jens-Ove Gustafsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Magne Högström kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched VfL Wolfsburg eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
