Lúcio de Queiroz hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the match, Celsinho Sanches had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juarês de Amaral. In the 34th minute, Diego Guimarães left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marquês de Herval fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 37th minute Ronaldão Breckenfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesinha Tande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Marquês de Herval booed when Hartmann Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donato Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wesley de Brito's late challenge caught a Marquês de Herval's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain.
