After 37 minutes of play, Polar Ice Caps's Ingemar Eckegren made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rômulo Neiva was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Ingemar Eckegren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rômulo Neiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wolf-Jürgen von Buol-Schaudenstein, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Ingemar Eckegren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rômulo Neiva. Flores da Cunha - RS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ingemar Eckegren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4.
