After 15 played minutes Caskinha Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Alagoano. 16 minutes into the game, TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s César da Mata nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Umberto França made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Gustavo Corrêa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Umberto França came out and tried to block the shot, but Gustavo Corrêa slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 19th minute. Umberto França took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from César da Mata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th match minute, Caskinha Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Alagoano to maneuver through the defense. Renato de Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. When Gustavo Corrêa came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the TIMETER EC -DMZ- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo Corrêa couldn't finish the play. If Rogério de Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Corrêa in the 46th minute of play forced Caskinha Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Umberto França to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Umberto França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elói Borges in the 52nd minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Caskinha Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Rogério de Mendonça came free, but Umberto França reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Falcão Monteiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juarês Cardoso's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Caskinha Esporte Clube's Umberto França played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elói Borges in the 61st minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Juarês Cardoso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caskinha Esporte Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TIMETER EC -DMZ- the free kick. The Caskinha Esporte Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Umberto França should have stopped the shot.
